Claims status update
MIB compensated over 39,000 innocent victims of uninsured and untraced drivers last year.
We are currently managing 40,000 existing claims with increasing numbers of new claims being received, we are expecting a further 45,000 claims in in 2022. These are handled by dedicated, experienced teams and whilst we do have a backlog, and external delays continue, we are making good progress.
Due to ongoing Covid impacts, any claims submitted in 2020 and 2021 are taking a little longer however we have already settled over 50% of claims received in 2020 and 40% of claims received in 2021.
Our teams are working hard and will soon aim to review each case by the end of the second quarter. Thank you for your continued patience.
The best way to contact us about your claim is via the MIB online claims portal. If your enquiry is in relation to an update on a claim status please choose the ‘chase for update option’.
