Dominic Clayden - Chief Executive

Dominic Clayden started his role as Director and Chief Executive of MIB on 14 May 2018. He was formerly Group Chief Claims Officer at QBE Insurance and prior to this Claims Director at Aviva. As a qualified solicitor, Dominic has also held legal positions with BKJ Lewis and Potter Butler & Lyons.

Rajeev Arya

Rajeev Arya - Chief Finance Officer

Rajeev joined MIB in April 2019 as Chief Finance Officer responsible for Finance, Internal Audit and Risk & Compliance. He started his career at KPMG and then held various senior finance positions at HSBC, Volkswagen Finance and Santander Insurance.

Faran Johnson

Faran Johnson - Chief People Officer

Faran is one of the UK’s leading change and transformation experts and joined MIB as its Chief People Officer in November 2021.

Faran brings over 30 years’ experience in the public and private sector. She previously worked on the UK’s response to Covid-19 as Chief People Officer at the UK Health Security Agency (incorporating NHS Test & Trace). She has also held positions at Channel 4 and Her Majesty’s Courts and Tribunals Service.

Faran is passionate about not-for-profits and developing organisations’ values and culture. She firmly believes in leading with integrity, authenticity and respect for people and their development.

Ben Fletcher

Ben Fletcher - Chief Customer Officer

Ben is responsible for running the management support services that MIB provide to our client companies, which include: Insurance Fraud Bureau, Employers Liability Tracing Office and Claims Portal.

Ben is the Managing Director of the Insurance Fraud Bureau and has been since January 2013. In 2019 Ben also assumed responsibility as the Chief Customer Officer for the MIB. In addition to running the managed service, he is also responsible for leading all product development and management relating to the data services, which include MID, MIAFTR, MyLicence and CUE. This work culminated in producing our first detailed product roadmap in 2021.

Ben has worked in the insurance industry for over twenty years, in a range of roles spanning claims and counter fraud.

Paul Jackman

Paul Jackman - Chief Technology Officer

Paul joined the Motor Insurers’ Bureau in April 2017.

Paul is an experienced strategic IT professional with considerable exposure in many sectors including insurance, airport management, construction, electronics manufacturing, marketing and media, and retail operations.

Paul brings significant IT leadership experience and a strong track record of delivering major IT programmes in complex business transformations, mergers and acquisitions, transforming IT teams, and process and technology standardisation across many international organisations. 

In recent years Paul has worked with senior executive teams in developing IT strategy and delivering a number of strategic digital transformation projects successfully enhancing customer experience, driving operational efficiencies, generating new market opportunities, simplifying the technology landscape and developing agile teams.

Paul is a passionate IT leader who drives business outcomes, provides clarity in solving business challenges with technology, a strong mind set for managing organisational change and a focus on providing professional communications and services to his customers.  

Paul holds a diploma in Business Administration, BA in Business Computing, Practitioner in Change Management and is a NLP Practitioner.  

Nick Robbins

Nick Robbins - Chief Technical Officer

As Chief Technical Officer at the MIB, in addition to being part of the MIB Executive Committee, Nick is responsible for technical issues throughout the MIB claims area and is Chairman of the MIB Technical Committee. Nick retains responsibility for MIB’s relationships with the Government, Civil Service departments and European Commission, among others. He works closely with public affairs teams across the insurance industry to understand what policy changes are on the horizon and to influence areas of common interest by speaking with one voice.

Nick’s experience covers both private and public sectors. He worked for Allianz as Branch Claims Controller in Maidstone, followed by 19 years in the Civil Service, mainly in the Foreign Office and latterly the Department for Transport. He worked overseas for the Foreign Office in India, Austria and Saudi Arabia. Nick is ACII qualified, a Chartered Insurer and an Accredited Public Relations Practitioner.
